12 APRIL 2019 MEDIA RELEASE FOR THE PAST 24 HOURS:

 

 

Arrest Warrant Executed (Fail to Attend Court, Fail to Attend Ident):

On April 11, 2019, at 12:01pm police located a 33 year old female in the 000’ block of 9th Street with an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court and failing to attend for ident. She was lodged at BCC for court in the morning.

 

Possession of Controlled Substance (Cocaine):

On April 11, 2019, at 7:18am police were called to a residence in the 000’ block of Willowdale Cres for a noise complaint. Officers attended and the residents quieted down. At 10:25am police were called back to the residence as there were further noise complaints. A 28 year old Brandon woman was found intoxicated and uncooperative with police. She was arrested for breach of the peace. A search of her person incidental to arrest revealed she was in possession of a quantity of cocaine. She was lodged at BCC to be released when sober for court on June 13, 2019.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed (Sexual Assault with a Weapon):

On April 11, 2019, Wasagaming RCMP advised they had arrested a 22 year old man from Rolling River on the strength of a warrant from BPS for sexual assault with a weapon. He was lodged for court on April 12, 2019.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed (Sexual Interference, Sexual Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Assault):

On April 11, 2019, at 2:44pm police located a 37 year old Virden man in the 1000’ block of Rosser Ave who was wanted by Virden RCMP for the above offences. He was arrested and released for court in Virden on May 3, 2019.

 

Theft of Motor Vehicle:

On April 11, 2019, police arrested two more youths in relation to a stolen vehicle file from April 8, 2019. A 17 year old female was charged with theft of motor vehicle and mischief to property. She will appear in court on May 14, 2019. A 15 year old female was charged for possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation. She will also appear in court on May 14, 2019.

 

Intoxicated Person Detention Act:

On April 11, 2019, at 9:14pm police were called to a business in the 1500’ block of 18th Street for two intoxicated males. A 49 year old male and a 45 year old male were lodged at BCC to be released when sober.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed (Breach of Probation x2, Fail to Attend Ident x2, Fail to Attend Court x2, Breach of Recognizance x2, Fraud use of Credit Card):

On April 11, 2019, at 11:58pm police were called to a business in the 000’ block of 10th Street for a disturbance. A 36 year old Brandon woman was located and arrested on the strength of the above noted warrant. She was lodged at BCC for court on April 12, 2019.

 

Intoxicated Person Detention Act:

On April 12, 2019, at 3:22am police were called to the 100’ block of McTavish Ave East for an intoxicated female. A 39 year old woman was arrested and lodged at BCC to be released when sober.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed (Assault, Breach of Recognizance x3, Breach of Probation, Assault with a Weapon, Posses Weapon Dangerous, Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited Weapon, Fail to Attend Court):

On April 12, 2019, at 5:33am police responded to a disturbance at a residence in Brentwood Village. A 32 year old Brandon man was located and arrested on the strength of a warrant from Winnipeg Police Service for the above offences. He was lodged at BCC for court on April 12, 2019.
