11 APRIL 2019 MEDIA RELEASE FOR THE PAST 24 HOURS:

 

 

Break & Enter (Residential):

On April 10, 2019, at 7:37am police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residence in the 500’ block of 13th Street. It is believed this occurred sometime between 5:45am and 6:30am. Several items were stolen including a laptop and camera. Police continue to investigate.

 

Sexual Assault:

On April 10, 2019, after an ongoing investigation into the inappropriate touching of an 8 year old female by a 13 year old male, the boy was charged for sexual assault. He will appear in court on May 14, 2019.

 

Breach of Peace:

On April 10, 2019, at 1:05pm police responded to a disturbance at a business in the 1200’ block of 18th Street. A 26 year old female was found to be intoxicated and causing problems. She was lodged at BCC to be released when sober.

 

Breach of Undertaking:

On April 10, 2019, at 4:40pm police responded to a disturbance in the 400’ block of 6th Street. Police located a 41 year old Brandon man who was intoxicated. He was in breach of an undertaking condition for consuming alcohol. He was lodged at BCC to be released when sober for court on June 6, 2019.

 

Breach of Peace:

On April 10, 2019, at 8:13pm police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 900’ block of Rosser Ave. A 40 year old Brandon man was located intoxicated and refusing to leave. He was lodged at BCC to be released when sober.

 

Intoxicated Person Detention Act:

On April 10, 2019, at 10:20pm police located a 48 year old Brandon woman in the 700’ block of 23rd Street who was intoxicated. She was lodged at BCC to be released when sober.

 

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Breach of Recognizance:

On April 10, 2019, police arrested and charged a 13 year old Brandon male in relation to a vehicle theft from April 8, 2019. He was lodged at BCC for court on April 11, 2019.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed (Breach of Probation x2, Careless use of Firearms, Reckless Discharge of Firearm, Possess Firearm contrary to Prohibition Order, Breach of Recognizance x2):

On April 10, 2019, at 10:49pm police located a 23 year old man in the 2200 block of Princess Ave who was wanted for the above offences. He was arrested and lodged at BCC for court on April 11, 2019.

 

Impaired Driving, HTA offences, Warrant for Assault and Fail to Attend Court:

On April 10, 2019, at 9:26pm police conducted a traffic stop in the 1500’ block of 3rd Street. The driver, a 36 year old man from Split Lake, was found to be impaired and did not have a valid driver’s license. There was also a warrant of arrest from Thompson RCMP for assault and fail to attend court. He was lodged at BCC for court on April 11, 2019.

 

Breach of Undertaking:

On April 10, 2019, at 11:11pm police arrested a 14 year old Brandon male on Garwood Dr. for breaching his undertaking. The youth had violated his curfew condition on April 8, 2019. He was lodged at BCC to appear in court on April 11, 2019.

 

Carry Concealed Weapon:

On April 11, 2019, at 1:53am police responded to a disturbance in the 000’ block of 10th Street. A 34 year old Brandon man was located intoxicated and in possession of a knife. He was lodged at BCC to be released when sober for court on June 10, 2019.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed (Fail to Attend Court, Breach of Probation x2, Theft under $5000):

On April 11, 2019, at 3:55am police located a 31 year old man in the 800 block of Victoria Ave who was wanted for the above offences. He was lodged at BCC for court on April 11, 2019.

 

Intoxicated Person Detention Act:

On April 11, 2019, at 5:40am police located a 26 year old man from Tadule Lake passed out in the 1600’ block of Victoria Ave. He was lodged at BCC to be released when sober.
