Stolen Vehicle/Recovered:

On April 8th, 2019, at 07:38am, police received a report of a stolen Toyota Corolla from the 2200 block of Victoria Ave, The vehicle was recovered a short time later in Queen Elizabeth Park. Investigation lead to the apprehension of a 14 year old male youth and a 16 year old female youth. The male youth is to appear in court today, the female youth will appear in court on 14th May 2019.

Break & Enter (Business):

On April 8, 2019, at 8:48am, police responded to a complaint of a Break & Enter to a shed located in the 100’ block of Princess Ave E. According to the business owner the Break & Enter occurred sometime on April 7, 2019. Stolen was a 40 inch TV and Maintenance Key. Police continue to investigate.

Break & Enter (Residence):

On April 8, 2019, police responded to a report of a Break & Enter to a residence in the 300 block of Victoria Ave being renovated by Habitat for Humanity. According to the owner, the residence was broken into between March 29, 2019 and April 2, 2019. Stolen were numerous contractor tools. Police continue to investigate.

Intoxicated Persons Detention Act

On April 8, 2019, a 56 year old male was located in the 400 blk of 9th Street, highly intoxicated. He was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center until sober.

Arrest Warrant Executed (Uttering Threats):

On April 8, 2019, at a 28 year old male who was currently an inmate at the Brandon Correctional Center had a Winnipeg Police Service warrant for Uttering Threats, served on him. He will appear in court this morning.

Pointing a Firearm, Careless use of a Firearm, Discharge Firearm with Intent, Unauthorized possession of a Firearm, Possess weapon Dangerous, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Unauthorized Possessions of a Weapon in a Vehicle, Possess Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition:

On April 8, 2019, at 5:50pm, police responded to a call of gunshots in the 800 block of Brandon Ave. Police located an 18 year old male from Winnipeg and a 22 year old Brandon male in the area. It appears while sitting in a vehicle in the 800 blk Brandon Ave, they had an altercation with two other males, they were pepper sprayed and then one of the males in the vehicle produced a sawed off shotgun and fired at the males on foot who then fled before police arrival. At this time it is unknown if the males on foot were injured in the shooting. Both males will appear in court this morning. Police continue to investigate.

Arrest Warrant Executed (Fraud over $5000 x 2, Utter Forged Document x 2), Carry a Concealed Weapon:

On April 8, 2019, a 29 year old male from Brandon was observed by police in the 900 blk of Princess Ave and was known to have an outstanding Warrant for Fraud Over $5000 and Utter a Forged Document. Upon his arrest he attempted to discard a folding knife from his jacket sleeve which was located. He will appear for court on April 9, 2019.

Carry a Concealed Weapon:

On April 8th, 2019, police responded to the 3600 block of Centennial Blvd for a call of persons possibly checking vehicles. A 13 year old Brandon female was located in the area by police and found to have a fixed blade knife concealed in her waistband. She was released for court on May 14, 2019.
