14 MARCH 2019 MEDIA RELEASE FOR THE PAST 24 HOURS

 

 Warrant Executed

On March 13th, 2019 police attended to a complaint in the 300 blk of 14th Street. Police located a 37 year old man of no fixed address who had been squatting at that location. As it turned out BPS held an unendorsed warrant for the man for Assault, Utter Threats, Mischief to Property as well as Theft Under $ 5000.00. The man was lodged at BCC and will appear in Brandon Court on March 14th, 2019.

 

Breach of Probation

On March 13th, 2019 police attended to a complaint at a business in the Corral Centre of a male that had been observed on surveillance video from March 2nd, 2019 having attended the store which was a breach of his probation order. The 39 year old Brandon man was arrested and subsequently released on a PTA to attend Brandon Court on March 28th, 2019.

 

Warrant Executed

On March 13th, 2019 police noticed a man walking along the area of the 1000 blk of Rosser Avenue and was aware the 32 year old Brandon man had a warrant for Break and Enter. The man was released on a PTA to appear in Brandon Court on May 13th, 2019.

 

Warrant Executed

On March 13th, 2019 police located a 35 year old Brandon man who had been involved in a Break and Enter which occurred in Brandon on February 17th 2019. The man also admitted to being him being involved with another similar incident on March 8th, 2019. The man was held in custody and will appear in Brandon Court on March 14th, 2019

 

Warrant Executed

On March 13th, 2019 at 3:30pm police were called to a residence in the 400 blk of Frederick Street on an unrelated complaint. While at that residence a 19 year old Brandon man was found to have an endorsed warrant for Fail to Attend Court out of Winnipeg. The man was released on a PTA to attend Winnipeg Court on April 23rd, 2019.

 

Break and Enter - Residence

On March 13th, 2019 at 4:00pm police received a complaint of a Break and Enter to a residence in the east end of Brandon that was being renovated. Entry was gained by forcing the back door open. It appears that there were some tools and a sound bar speaker was missing.

 

Warrant Executed

On March 13th, 2019 at 4:45 pm a 25 year old man from Brandon turned himself in when he became aware that St Rose RCMP held a warrant for his arrest. St Rose RCMP confirmed the warrant for Fail to Attend Court as well as Assault. The man was released on a PTA to attend Dauphin Court on April 15th, 2019.

 

Warrant Executed

On March 13th, 2019 police located a 35 year old man from Brandon who was involved in a Break and Enter from February 13th. The man will appear in Brandon Court on March 14th, 2019.

 

Drunk and Disorderly in a Public Place / Permit Dog to Run Loose of Leash

On March 13th, 2019 at 9:30 pm police attended to a complaint at a business in the 300 blk of 10th Street of a male passed out at the rear of this building. Police attended and found an intoxicated 40 year old Brandon man passed out and his aggressive dog which was off leash not allowing first responders to get close the man to assist him. The man was taken to BCC and lodged until sober. The dog was eventually taken to the dog pound and will be reunited with the man upon his release from custody.

 

Assault with a Weapon

On March 14th, 2019 pat 2:51 am police attended located a 13 year old youth who had been involved in an incident where an adult had been sprayed in the face with a noxious chemical. The youth was arrested and charged accordingly and released on a PTA to attend to Brandon Court on April 16th, 2019.

 

Bike Auction

The Kiwanis Club will be holding their bike auctions at the Keystone Center in the curling club, on the following dates:

  • • Saturday, April 27th
  • • Saturday, July 27th

For both auctions, there will be a viewing from 9:00 am – 10:00 am, with the auctions commencing at 10:00 am.
