12 MARCH 2019 MEDIA RELEASE FOR THE PAST 24 HOURS

 

 Break and Enter – Residential

 On March 11th, 2019 at 9:13 am police responded to a complaint of a Break and Enter to a residence in the 500 blk of 3rd Street. A number of power and hand tools were stolen from the property.

 

Warrant Executed

On March 11th, 2019 at 1:38 pm police responded to an unrelated complaint at a residence in the 900 blk of Maryland Avenue. While at the residence police located a 35 year old Brandon man who was found to have an unendorsed warrant for Utter Threats, Distribute Intimate Images as well as Harassing Communications. The man was lodged at BCC for Brandon Court on March 12th, 2019

 

Warrant Executed

On March 11th, 2019 at 1:40 pm a 34 year old Brandon man turned himself in to police when he became aware that BPS held a warrant for Fail to Attend Court. The man was released on a PTA to appear in Brandon Court on April 8th, 2019.

 

Warrant Executed

On March 11th, 2019 at 12:38 pm police attended to a residence in the 500 blk of 5th Street on an unrelated complaint and located a 25 year old man who had a Parole Apprehension and Suspension Warrant. The man was lodged at BCC and will appear in Brandon Court on March 12th, 2019

 

Vehicle Content Thefts

On March 11th, 2019 police attended to a number of vehicle content thefts in the Green Acres area. No damages were reported but unlocked vehicles were targeted. Police are reminding car owners to keep their doors locked when their vehicles are unattended and especially at night and are also reminded take all items of value out of their car.

 

Breach of Peace

On March 11th, 2019 at 8:57 pm police attended to a complaint of an intoxicated woman in the area of 300 blk of 16th Street. Police located the 49 year old Brandon woman who was found to be intoxicated and as a result she was lodged at BCC to be released when sober.

 

Breach of Recognizance / Breach of Undertaking

On March 11th, 2019 at 10:02 pm police stopped a vehicle in the 1000 blk of Pacific Avenue. The driver was found to be on both and Undertaking and a Recognizance with the condition not to possess a cell phone. As a cell phone was noted in the console, the 25 year old Brandon woman was arrested and lodged at BCC for appearance in Brandon Court on March 12th, 2019.

 

Break and Enter – Residential - Garage

On March 11th, 2019 police responded to a complaint of a Break and Enter to a residence in the 400 blk of 6th Street. According to the homeowner, the B&E likely occurred sometime between the 10th and the 11th of March. Stolen was a specialized Stump Jumper bicycle as well as some tools.
