Domestic Assault

On Saturday morning, Brandon Police attended a residence in the east end of a couple that had been fighting.  Both the 33-year-old Brandon male and the 30-year-old Brandon female claimed to have been assaulted by one another.  Both had minor injuries as a result of the altercation.  Both were arrested for assault and released to appear in court in March.

 

Possess a Weapon Dangerous

At 11:56 hours, Saturday morning, police received a call in the 300 block of 11th Street of a male on the street with a knife in both hands.  The 33-year-old Brandon male was located with a butcher knife and a steak knife and arrested without incident.  The male is also on a court order prohibiting the possession of any weapon.  The male was lodged at BCC due to his level of intoxication and released when sober to appear in court in March.

 

Arrest Warrants Executed

At 00:45 hours, Sunday morning, the Dauphin RCMP arrested a 21-year-old male from Oche River who was wanted by the Brandon Police Service on an unendorsed warrant for Break and Enter.  The male was held in custody to appear in court in Dauphin.

At 00:58 hours, Brandon Police conducted a person’s check in the west end and discovered that the 19-year-old male from Brandon was wanted by police on an unendorsed warrant of arrest for numerous offences including possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failing to appear in court.  The male was lodged at BCC for court in the morning.

 

Other Arrests

In the last 24 hours, eight persons were arrested for breach of the peace and will be released from custody when sober.
