23 JANUARY 2019 MEDIA RELEASE FOR THE PAST 24 HOURS

 

Arrest Warrant Executed:

On January 22nd, 2019, at 6:13am police responded to a distrubance  in the 600’ block of McDiarmid Dr.  A 26 year old female was arrested on the strength of a warrant for Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Theft Under $5000, and Failing to Attend. She was lodged at BCC for court on January 23rd, 2019.

 

Domestic Assault, Arrest Warrant Executed:

On January 22nd, 2019, at 9:53am police responded to a call of domestic violence in the 400’ block of 5th Street. A 37 year old Brandon male was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend. She did not require medical attention. Police also executed an arrest warrant on the male for assault. He was lodged at BCC for court on January 23rd, 2019.

 

Domestic Assault:

On January 22nd, 2019, at 12:25pm police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 100’ block of 25th Street. A 15 year old Brandon male was arrested for domestic assault on his girlfriend. She did not require medical attention. He was released on a Promise to Appear for court on February 19th, 2019.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed:

On January 22nd, 2019, Winnipeg Police advised a 24 year old female had turned herself in to them on the strength of a warrant from Brandon Police for failing to attend court. She was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of February 21st, 2019, to deal with the charge.

 

Domestic Assault, Utter Threats:

On January 22nd, 2019, at 9:05am police responded to call from a female in the 700’ block of 16th Street reporting she was being threatened by her ex-boyfriend by phone. The female also reported being assaulted by the male in the past. Police located and arrested a 21 year old Brandon male who was charged for Domestic Assault x3 and Uttering Threats. The male was released on a Promise to Appear for court on February 21st, 2019.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed:

On January 22nd, 2019, at 2:05pm a 37 year old Brandon man attended the police service and turned himself in on a warrant for failing to attend for fingerprints. He was arrested and released on a Promise to Appear for court on February 19th, 2019.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed:

On January 22nd, 2019, at 4:39pm police located a 17 year old female on Elviss Cres with an outstanding warrant for Breach of Probation x4 and theft under $5000. She was lodged at BCC for court on January 23rd, 2019.

 

Trafficking Meth & Cocaine, Possession of Proceeds of Crime, Prohibited Weapon, Carry Concealed Weapon:

On January 22nd, 2019, at 11:10am police stopped a vehicle in the 1600 block of Lorne Ave. Located inside the vehicle was approximately 4 ounces of meth (street value $17,850), 1 ounce of cocaine (street value $2,600), and a quantity of cash. Two of the occupants were also in possession of bear mace. The following people were charged accordingly: 44 year old male charged for Trafficking meth & Cocaine, Possession of Proceeds of Crime. Lodged at BCC for court on January 23rd, 2019. 19 year old female charged for trafficking meth & cocaine. Lodged at BCC for court on January 23rd, 2019. 17 year old male charged for possess a prohibited weapon. Released on a promise to appear for court on March 5th, 2019. 15 year old male charged for possess a prohibited weapon, carry concealed weapon. Released on a promise to appear for court on March 5th, 2019.

 

Breach of Peace:

On January 22nd, 2019, at 9:56pm police attended to the 800’ block of Pacific Ave for a disturbance. A 44 year old male was lodged at BCC for breaching the peace to be released once sober.

 

Stolen Vehicle:

On January 22nd, 2019, at 11:30pm police responded to a report of a vehicle being stolen from a parking lot in the 200’ block of 18th Street N. The vehicle is described as a 2006 white Dodge Journey, with Saskatchewan license plate, 683 KGM. Police continue to investigate.

 

Breach of Undertaking:

On January 23rd, 2019, at 4:16am police conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of 18th Street. A 25 year old male from Killarney who was a passenger was found to be in breach of an undertaking for consuming alcohol and breaching his curfew. He was lodged at BCC for court on January 23rd, 2019.
