01 JANUARY 2019 MEDIA RELEASE FOR THE PAST 24 HOURS

 

 

Breach of Undertaking:

On December 27th, 2018, police conducted a curfew check on two individuals at their residence in the 600’ block of 14th Street. They were not home at the time. On December 31st, 2018, both subjects were located and arrested for Breach of Undertaking. A 21 year old female, and 25 year old male, both from Brandon, were released for court on January 31st, 2019.

 

Drive while Prohibited:

On December 31st, 2018, at 2:46pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the 300’ block of 9th Street. The driver, a 47 year old Sioux Valley man, was found to be prohibited from driving. He was charged accordingly and released for court on February 25th, 2019.

 

Intoxicated Person Detention Act:

On December 31st, 2018, at 4:13pm, City Transit reported an intoxicated individual sleeping on the bus. A 37 year old Brandon woman was arrested under the Intoxicated Person Detention Act and lodged at BCC to be released when sober.

 

Intoxicated Person Detention Act:

On December 31st, 2018, at 7:16pm, police located a 49 year old male extremely intoxicated in the 800’ block of Rosser Ave. He was lodged at BCC to be released when sober.

 

Warrant of Arrest Executed (Fail to comply with Probation):

On January 1st, 2019, at 1:07am, police were called to a Motel in the 200’ block of 18th Street North to assist in removing a highly intoxicated male from a room. Police located a 45 year old male from Griswold who was found to have a warrant of arrest for failing to comply with probation from the Virden RCMP. The male was lodged at BCC to appear in court in the morning.

 

Intoxicated Person Detention Act:

On January 1st, 2019, at 5:21am, police were called to Driedger Bay for an intoxicated female. An 18 year old female from Morden, MB, was arrested and lodged at BCC to be released when sober.
