Arrest Warrants Executed
At 7:50 pm on Monday evening, police attended a residence in the East end for a disturbance. An 18-year-old male from Winnipeg was arrested upon discovery that there was an unendorsed warrant for his arrest, out of Winnipeg, for theft of a motor vehicle and mischief to property. The male was lodged at BCC for court in the morning.
Shortly after midnight, police attended the 1600 block of 18th Street for a suspicious male. A 48-year-old male from Edmonton was located and found to have an endorsed warrant for his arrest for Theft, forgery and misuse of a credit card. The male was lodged at BCC for court in the morning.
Mischief
At 10:45 pm, Monday evening a 25-year-old Brandon male was located using a felt marker to put graffiti on City Hall. The male was arrested at the scene and was released to appear in court in February.
Break – In’s
A homeowner in the east end of Brandon noticed that his shed had been broken in to sometime the previous Friday. A number of items were stolen including a telescope, a Master-Craft miter saw and an electric lawn dethatcher. At this time, there are no suspects in the theft. Police are continuing to investigate.
At 2 pm on Monday, a homeowner on Magnolia Drive advised that someone had stolen a number of tools from the garage, which had been left open. The suspect in the theft was described as a male driving a 4 door silver car. Police are continuing to investigate.
Stolen Vehicle
At 9:30 last night a resident in the 700 block of 10th Street reported her vehicle stolen. The vehicle had been left running with the keys in it. At 11:50 pm, members of the RCMP followed the stolen vehicle into Brandon from the #1 Highway. The vehicle was abandoned in the 3400 block of Rosser Avenue and the occupants fled on foot. Police established a perimeter and with the assistance of a canine unit, one male was located and arrested. A 24-year-old male from Brandon is charged with possession of property obtained by crime and will be appearing in court in the morning
