Stolen Vehicle Recovered

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Police were notified of a vehicle blocking snow clearing efforts in the 1200 block of 10th Street.  The vehicle was discovered to be stolen from Boissevain sometime on Thursday.  The vehicle was towed to the Brandon Police Service for Forensic Identification work and the investigation is continuing.


Theft Under $5000.00

At 2 pm on Friday, a 34-year-old Souris man was apprehended stealing items from a south end grocery store.  The male was lodged at BCC for release when sober and will appear in court in January.


Arrest Warrants Executed

At 12:45 am on Saturday morning, police attended a disturbance in the east end.  Two males were checked in the area and one, a 21-year-old male from Keeseekoownin was found to have an endorsed warrant for his arrest for Failing to attend court.  The intoxicated male was lodged at BCC for release when sober.  He will appear in court in February.

At 3:30 am on Saturday morning, a 33-year-old Brandon female was checked in the 600 block of 13th Street and found to have an unendorsed warrant for her arrest for breaching her Probation.  The female was lodged at BCC and will appear in court in the morning.


Other Arrests

Two persons were arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and will be released when sober.
