Break, Enter and Theft:

On Tuesday, Police received a report of a break, enter and theft to a business in the 1700 block of Rosser Avenue. Staff reported sometime between 7:00pm November 05th and 8:00am on November 06th 2018, unknown suspects used a rock to smash windows to gain entry and stole an Acer Laptop valued $450 and $150 in cash. Police continue to investigate.

Theft Under:

On Tuesday at approximately 1:41pm, staff from a 900 block Victoria Avenue business reported a female stealing clothing and hair products. Police attended the area and located the female who had stolen approximately $200 worth of merchandise. Police arrested and released a 32yr old Brandon woman to appear in Court on January 07th 2019.

Public Mischief and Possession of Controlled Substance:

On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 5:32pm, staff from a business in the 1600 block of 18th Street reported a male was previously banned from store and had returned. Police attended and the male was found to be under the influence of a drug and provided a false name. The male became confrontational and Police located a pill bottle containing 10 various pills, T3’s, Clonazepam and Gabapentin. Police arrested and lodged at BCC a 30yr old man where his true identity was revealed. The male will be released when sober to appear in Court on December 31st.

Consumption of Cannabis by a Young Person:

On Tuesday at approximately 11:35am, Police attended to a residence in the 700 block of 13th Street in an attempt to locate a missing person. Police were met at the door by a male youth who appeared to be under the influence of a drug. The male became confrontational and was arrested for consuming cannabis as a minor. A 15yr old Brandon male youth was issued LGCA Provincial Offence Notice and released.


There were 6 reported Motor Vehicle Collisions on Tuesday. Police attended to a single vehicle collision at 34th Street and Van Horne Avenue where speed and road conditions were contributors. Police attended to 1700 Richmond Avenue East where a semi-tractor/trailer had jack-knifed on the roadway.
