Break and Enter:

On Wednesday, a resident in the 1300 block of 1st Street reported sometime between 5:00pm and 7:30pm on October 31st someone broke into the residence. The suspects gained entry through the back entrance and caused damage to some household items within the residence. Police continue to investigate.

Theft Under:

On Wednesday afternoon at approximately 6:00pm, staff from a business in the 900 Victoria Avenue reported a female stole $105 worth of merchandise and left the store. Police located, arrested and released a 33yr old Brandon woman to appear in Court on December 31st.

Fraud x8, Attempt Fraud and Warrant of Arrest:

An ongoing investigation from September 18th 2018, an employee of a banking institute in the 1000 block of Rosser Avenue reported a female had been fraudulently depositing checks into her bank account over the past month. The female had deposited 9 checks into the account through a mobile check depositing app and also deposited checks through the ATM. On Wednesday evening, Police located, arrested and released a 22yr old Brandon woman to appear in Court on December 27th. The female was also arrested for an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Probation.

Impaired Driving, Drive Over .08:

On Thursday morning at approximately 2:15am, Police were in the area of 4th Street and Park Avenue observed vehicle travelling east on Park Avenue at an excessive speed. Police conducted a vehicle stop in the 800 block Dennis Street and the driver showed signs of impairment, was arrested and transported to BPS where he provided samples of his breath that were over the legal limit. A 26yr old Brandon man was arrested and released to appear in Court on November 13th.

Mischief Under $5000 and Warrant of Arrest:

On Wednesday afternoon at approximately 1:48pm, a security company received a panic alarm from a residence on Darrach Bay. Police attended and learned the alarm was due to a male youth causing damage to a vehicle by punching out the window. Police learned the male youth had an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Recognizance. A 17yr old Brandon male youth was arrested for Mischief Under, Warrant of Arrest and lodged at BCC to appear in Court on November 1st.

Arrest Warrant Executed:

On Wednesday afternoon at approximately 1:48pm, a female attended to Brandon Police Service to turn herself in on an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Fail to Attend Court x2. Police arrested and released a 27yr old Brandon woman to appear in Court on November 29th.

Other:

One person was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre for Breach of Peace to be released when sober.
