Arrest Warrant Executed:

On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 12:06pm, a male attended to the Brandon Police Service on another matter and Police learned the male had an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Fail to Attend for Prints. A 15yr old Morden, Mb male youth was arrested and released to appear in Court on October 16th.

On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 12:30pm, a male attended to Brandon Police Service to turn himself into Police as he had an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Court Order. A 31yr old Brandon man was arrested and lodged at BCC to appear for Court on October 03rd.

On Tuesday evening at approximately 6:34pm, Winnipeg Police Service reported arresting a male suspect on the strength of a Brandon Police Service Warrant of Arrest for Assault and Sexual Assault. A 26yr old Winnipeg man was arrested and lodged to appear in Winnipeg Court on October 03rd.

On Wednesday morning at approximately 01:23am, East St. Paul Police advised they had arrested a male suspect on the strength of a Brandon Police Service Warrant of Arrest for Theft of a Motor Vehicle. A 30yr old man was arrested and lodged to appear in Winnipeg Court on October 03rd.

Possession for the Purpose (methamphetamines/cocaine) and Proceeds of Crime:

On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 1:12pm, Police conducted a pedestrian check of a male in the 400 block of College Avenue. The male was checked as a result of an ongoing drug investigation. During the check, he was found to be in possession of approximately 30 grams of methamphetamines, 3 grams of cocaine and approximately $300 of cash on his person. A 46yr old Brandon man was arrested and lodged at BCC to appear in Court on October 03rd.

Theft Under:

On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 2:22pm, an employee at a business in the 900 block of 18th Street North reported a female loaded a shopping cart with items and left the store without paying. Police attended to the area and located the female with stolen items. A 31yr old Brandon woman was arrested and released to appear in Court on November 26th.

Possession of Stolen Property:

On Tuesday, Police were notified by an employee of a banking establishment in the1000 block of Rosser Avenue that a male suspect was trying to cash a stolen check worth $1600. The employee stated the owner of the check advised the bank that the check was stolen on Sunday September 30th. Police attended to the bank located, arrested and released a 32yr old Brandon man to appear in Court on November 26th.

Domestic Assault (x4) and Utter Threats (x2):

On Tuesday evening, a female attended to Brandon Police Service to report that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend over the past several months. The female said she had been assaulted four times and threatened two times since April 2018. Police located the male suspect at his residence, he was arrested and released to appear in Court on November 01st.

Operation Impact 2018:

Operation Impact is a national public awareness campaign set to take place over the Thanksgiving weekend, from October 5th – 8th 2018. This year’s theme is Drive to Save Lives and will once again the focus will be on the behaviours drivers, passengers and other road users most at risk: impaired driving, occupant restraint use (seatbelts), aggressive driving and distracted driving; the main causes of death and injury on Canadian highways.

Other:

Five individuals were arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act lodged at BCC and will be released when sober.

One individual was arrested for Breach of the Peace lodged at BCC to be released in the morning.
