Arrest Warrant Executed:

On Wednesday morning at approximately 03:10am, Police observed a person in the 1000 block of Rosser Avenue and learned the person had an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Contempt of Court. A 22yr old Brandon woman was arrested and lodged at BCC for Court in the morning.

Break and Enter:

On Tuesday morning at approximately 08:12am, Police were informed by staff of a business in the 600 block of Princess Avenue someone had smashed a window and gained entry into the business overnight. Police reviewed video surveillance which revealed a lone suspect looking through the cash boxes. An envelope with a receipt was taken. Police continue to investigate.

Breach of Probation and Assault:

On Tuesday morning at approximately 01:29am, an employee at a group home reported being assaulted,by being pushed by a 15yr old male youth. The male youth left the residence and was breaching his curfew a condition of his Probation Order, prior to Police arrival. Police located, arrested and released the youth to appear in Court on October 9th.

Theft Under $5000:

On Tuesday afternoon Police responded to a shoplifting complaint at a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. Police were informed a male and female had just the store after stealing assorted items. A 20yr old Brandon man was located, arrested and released to appear in Court on November 13th. Police continue to investigate.

Assault with a Weapon:

On Tuesday morning at approximately 09:30am, a male victim reported he had been walking in 800 block of 9th Street when he was confronted by an unknown native male, described as 5’ 09-10”, thin build, short buzzed hair, mid 20’s – 30’s in age, tattoo over right eye, wearing grey t-shirt sand blue jeans. The male suspect proceeded to threaten him and produced a black handgun. The suspect hit the victim 2-3 times with the gun in the arm and forehead, causing a laceration to his face above his eye. The victim required medical assistance for his injury. Police continue to investigate.

On Tuesday evening at approximately 7:17pm, an employee at a business in the 100 block of Rosser Avenue observed a male assault a female with steering wheel locking device while the female was in a vehicle in the parking lot. The male fled the area but Police located, arrested and lodged the 49yr old Brandon man who will be released in morning  to appear in Court on October 11th.

Forcible Entry:

On Tuesday night at approximately 11:24pm, Police received a call from a resident in the 200 block of Rosser Avenue stating that a male just kicked his door in and left. Police located, arrested and released a 62yr old man to appear in Court on November 8th.

Other Arrests:

One individual was arrested for Breach of the Peace and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to be released when sober.
