Male Charged with Theft and Fraudulent Use of Credit Card:

An ongoing investigation from August 17th reported that someone had entered a vehicle parked at a residence and had taken a wallet containing credit cards, debit cards and other assorted pieces of identification. The complainant has been in touch with the bank and the credit cards were used at a business in the 700 block of 10th Street.

Police identified the suspect through the business security video using the credit cards. On September 3rd Police attended to the suspect’s residence, a 15yr old Brandon male youth was located and arrested for Theft Under, Fraud use of a Credit Card, Breach of Probation and Breach of Undertaking x2. The male was lodged at BCC for court September 4th. Police continue to investigate.

Warrants of Arrest Executed:

On Monday morning, Portage RCMP advised BPS they have arrested and released a 32yr old Inglis, Mb man on the strength of a BPS Warrant of Arrest for Theft Under. The male is to appear in Brandon Court on October 1st.

On Monday afternoon, a 31yr old Brandon man turned himself into Police on an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Recognizance x2. The male was arrested and lodged at BCC for Court on September 4th.

Woman Charged with Robbery/Forcible Confinement and Possession of Substance:

An ongoing investigation from September 2nd, Police located and arrested a 29yr old Brandon woman for Robbery/Forcible Confinement. During the incidental of arrest, Police found the female had in her possession a knife and a small quantity of Meth. The female was arrested for Possession of Substance and Breaching of Undertaking (not to possess any weapons) and lodged at BCC for Court on September 4th. Still under investigation.

Other Arrests:

One individual was arrested for Breach of the Peace and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to be released when sober.
