Assault 

On August 31, an assault was reported to have occurred at a group home in Brandon where a 17-year-old female assaulted a staff member by kicking him. On September 1st the accused was charged for this incident and released for a later court date.

Theft Under $5,000

As a result of an ongoing investigation a 26-year-old Brandon man was charged with stealing $130 worth of groceries from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave. He was located on September 1st in the area of 9th and Rosser and was arrested and released for a later court date.

Warrants

At 4:45 pm, a 33-year-old Brandon man was checked in the 1400 block of 9th St and found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Possession of stolen property. He was arrested and released for a later court date.

At 1:10 am, a 31-year-old Brandon man was checked in the area of 10th St and Victoria Ave and was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest for theft under $5,000 and failing to appear in court. He was released for a later court date.

At 4:30 am, Police checked a 21-year-old Brandon man in the 1300 block of Louise Ave and it was determined he had outstanding warrants. His charges included breach of probation, mischief to property, possess break in instruments, and fail to attend court. He was lodged at BCC for court in the morning.

Breach of Recognizance

At 10:00 pm, Police were responding to a call of a suspicious person in the 700 block of Percy St when they located a 30-year-old Steinbach man. He was found to be breaching his curfew and was arrested and lodged for court in the morning.

Breach of Undertaking/Possession of a Controlled Substance

At 12:23 am, Police located a 31-year-old Brandon man riding a bicycle in the 1000 block of Pacific Ave with a beer in the water bottle holder. He initially provided a false name to Police and was found to be breaching his curfew. He also had a small quantity of meth in his possession. He was lodged for court in the morning.
