STOLEN VEHICLES LOCATED

 

Just after 1:00 PM yesterday afternoon a 2015 Hyundai Sante Fe was located just north of the Grand Valley Road in a pasture.  The vehicle was reported stolen from Winnipeg the week prior.  The vehicle was transported to the Brandon Police Station for forensic identification.  SUI

Just prior to 9:00 PM last night a 2003 Chevrolet pickup was located in the 5200 Block of Victoria Avenue East.  The vehicle was engulfed in flames upon police arrival.  The vehicle had been reported stolen from Minnedosa the day prior.

IMPAIRED DRIVER ARRESTED

 

At approximately 10:30 PM last night a 29-year old Brandon man was arrested after he was stopped by police operating a motor vehicle in the 1000 Block of 11th Street.  The man displayed the usual signs of impairment, however refused to provide samples of his breath.  He was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Centre to be released when sober for court on September 06th, 2018.

THEFT OF BOAT AND TRAILER

 

Sometime between 9:30 PM and 11:30 PM last night a boat and trailer was stolen from the 400 Block of Assiniboine Avenue.  The boat is described as a 14’ beige colored Springback with a 20 horse power motor and the trailer is beige as well bearing Manitoba license Z727L.  SUI

FEMALE ARRESTED WITH COCAINE

 

A 32-year old female from Waywayseecappo was arrested at approximately at 10:30 PM last night when police stopped a vehicle in the 1100 Block of Princess Avenue.  The female was in possession of 11 grams of cocaine, a set of scales, and packaging materials.  She was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court in the morning to be charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. 

Brandon Woman Arrested for Cashing Forged Cheques

 

A 28-year old woman was arrested yesterday afternoon after she allegedly cashed several forged cheques from a local business between October of 2017 and January of 2018.  She will appear in court on October 29th, 2018.

YOUTH ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT/MISCHIEF

 

A 15-year old Brandon youth was arrested yesterday after she assaulted her worker and damaged a vehicle as well.  The victim did not require any medical attention.  She will appear in court on October 02, 2018.

OTHER ARRESTS

 

3 persons were arrested for outstanding arrest warrants.

3 persons were arrested for breaching their court orders.

2 persons were arrested under the intoxicated persons detention act and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Centre to be release when sober.
