Break and Enter and Mischief


At 2:00 pm, Police received a call of a male who had broken into a residence in the 000 block of Cornell Bay. Police attended and located a 30-year-old Canupawakpa man, who was arrested and charged with Break and Enter and Mischief as he also broke a window. He was lodged at BCC and will be released for a later court date once he is sober.


Warrant – Theft Under $5,000


Winnipeg Police Service located and arrested a 36-year-old man on an outstanding Brandon Police Service warrant. He was also charged with being in possession of stolen property. He was released for a later court date in Brandon.


Domestic Assault


At 5:30 pm, both a 39-year-old Brandon man and a 34-year-old Brandon woman reported being assaulted by each other. Neither suffer any significant injury from this. This incident occurred at a residence in the 500 block of 21st St. Both parties were charged and released for a later court date.


Fraud, Theft of Mail


As a result of an ongoing investigation, a 25-year-old Brandon man was arrested and charged with Theft of Mail x 2, Utter Forged Documents x 2, Fraud Under $5,000 x 2, Forgery x 2. The man took two cheques not belonging to him and cashed them after forging signatures. Value of the cheques were just under $4,000 each. He will appear in court at a later date.


Warrant - Breach of Probation


At midnight, Police did a person check in the 300 block of Rosser Ave and found the 18-year-old Brandon man to have a warrant for Breach of Probation. He was released for a later court date.


Break and Enter to a Shed


A report was received that a shed was broken into in the 300 block of 12th St sometime between this date and June 22nd. The lock was cut off the shed and a set of winter tires and a heater were stolen.


Other Arrests


Seven other individuals were arrested for alcohol/disturbance related incidents.
