Brandon Police Service Media Release for the Past 24 Hours.

 

Break and Enter:

Early Monday morning a Break and Enter to a garage was reported from a resident on Harrington Place. Sometime during the night the garage was entered and a Makita drill and a Makita saw were among the items stolen. Police investigation continues.

 

Arrest Warrants Executed:

A 33-year-old Brandon woman was arrested on an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Fail to Attend Court. The female was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Centre and is scheduled to appear in Court today.

A 21-year-old man from Shilo, Manitoba was arrested for having a Warrant of Arrest for Fraud Under and Forgery. He was released from custody and scheduled to appear in Court in August.

A 28-year-old female from Griswold, Manitoba turned herself into Police for having a Warrant of Arrest for Fail to Attend Court and Breach of Probation. The female was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Centre and is scheduled to appear in Court today.

 

Theft Under $5000:

On Monday afternoon an employee of a business in the 1600 Block of 18th street reported a theft of merchandise valued at $32. Police attended to the area and located the suspect. A 35-year-old female from Brandon was arrested for Theft Under $5000, lodged at the Correctional Centre and is scheduled to appear in Court in August.

 

Assault:

At approximately 8:45 p.m., Police responded to a Youth Group Home after receiving a call that a 15-year-old female youth from the home had assaulted 3 staff members. 2 of the staff members were punched while a third employee was dragged by the hair. The youth was arrested for Assault x3 and released to attend Court in July. The victims did not require medical attention because of the assault.

Other Arrests:

4 individuals were detained under the Intoxicated Person Detention Act, to be released when sober.
