Brandon Police Service Media Release for the Past 24 Hours.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle

On Saturday afternoon, the Craik Saskatchewan RCMP Detachment reported the recovery of a vehicle stole from Brandon last Thursday.  The Ford Transit Van was stolen from Canada Post on Douglas St by a suspect who had accessed keys to the vehicle from the facility.  The RCMP recovered the vehicle in Davidson Saskatchewan and charged a 38 year old man from Edmonton with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

Impaired Driver

Shortly after 8 pm on Saturday evening, a two vehicle accident occurred at 6th St and Rosser Ave.  Officers attended and observed one of the drivers displaying signs of intoxication and recovered open liquor from the vehicle.  The driver, a 31 year old from Sioux Valley,  was arrested and later provided breath samples double the legal limit.  He was charged with Impaired Driving and Driver over 80 mg/% and released to appear in court next week.

Other Arrests

7 people were lodged for Breach of Peace or under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act.

1 person was arrested on an arrest warrant.
