At 5:04 am, Police stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of Maryland Ave and found an occupant, a 24-year-old Brandon woman, to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest for possession of property obtained by crime. She was released for court at a later date.

At 8:00 pm, Police did a person check in the 800 block of Lorne Ave and found the 19-year-old Brandon woman to have a warrant for failing to appear for fingerprints. She was released for court at a later date.

Carrying a Concealed Weapon

At 7:10 pm, a report was received of a female being passed out in the area of the 1500 block of 18th St. She was determined to have outstanding warrants for breach of recognizance. Upon being arrested and searched, she was found to have concealed CO2 pistol. She was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon and for being in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The 23-year-old Brandon woman was held in custody for court in the morning.

Impaired Driving 

At 12:30 am, a vehicle was stopped during a Police Checkstop set up in the 1000 of 22nd St and the driver was found to be showing signs of impairment. After failing the roadside screening test, the 23-year-old Brandon man was taken to BPS where he later provided samples of his breath over twice the legal limit. He was later released for court at a later date.

Other Arrests

Five others were arrested for being intoxicated in public or breach of peace.
