Impaired Driving 

At 5:21 am on May 5th, Police stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of 18th St for driving without its headlights on. The driver, a 35-year-old Brandon man, was exhibiting signs of impairment and after failing the roadside screening test was arrested for impaired driving. He was transported to BPS where he later provided two samples of his breath over the legal limit. He was released for a later court date.

Break and Enter

A break and enter occurred to a garage in the 1000 block of 13th St sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning. Stolen was a BMX bike and a scooter. This occurrence is still under investigation.

Warrants

At 12:15 pm, Police were dealing with a 34-year-old Brandon woman and found her to have outstanding warrants for theft under $5,000, unlawfully in a dwelling, and Failing to Appear. She was lodged at BCC for the night to appear in court in the morning.

Assault 

At 9:00 pm, Police received a complaint of a 15-year-old Brandon youth assaulting and 18 year old victim. The assault occurred by the youth striking the victim in the face. The assault did not result in medical treatment. The youth was charged and released for court at a later date.

Breach of Court Order 

At 12:08 am, Police were called to a possible disturbance in the 2500 block of Victoria Ave. Upon Police arrival two males were noted consuming alcohol and the 22 year old McCreary man attempted to flee the area and was arrested a short time later and was charged for breaching his court order. The 20-year-old man from Roblin was also arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.

Drive while Disqualified 

At 1:44 am, Police stopped a vehicle in the 3300 block of Victoria Ave and found the 30-year-old Brandon man to be disqualified from driving. He was arrested and released for court at a later date.

Break and Enter

At 4:25 am, an alarm was reported at a business in the 800 block of 18th St North. Police arrived at scene and found the glass door to be broken and later determined $2,300 worth of merchandise had been stolen. This incident remains under investigation.

Other Arrests

10 other individuals were arrested for breach of peace and being intoxicated in public.
