Breach of Court order

On Friday afternoon police entered into an investigation involving a 29 year old male from Brandon, breaching his Conditional Sentence Order.  This male was arrested at his residence and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center for a court appearance later this morning.


Assault with a Weapon

On 2018-04-07, police received a complaint form a female who had her front door window smashed by a female suspect, and then assaulted the complainant with an extendable baton. On 2018-04-13, police located the 29 year old female suspect from Brandon, and arrested her for Assault with a weapon, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and Mischief Under $5000. She was released by way of a Promise to Appear in court on June 11th, 2018.


Domestic Assault with a Weapon

Early Saturday morning, police were called regarding a domestic assault incident and upon arrival the male victim was found bleeding profusely from multiple lacerations. The male was transported to hospital for treatment, while the 38 year old female from Brandon was arrested for Assault with a Weapon and was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center until sober.  She will be released with a Promise to Appear in Court on June 14th, 2018.  


Domestic Assault

At approximately 23:30pm on Friday night officers were called to a domestic disturbance on 10th St in the North end of Brandon, where the female victim disclosed that she had been pushed around, slapped and choked.  Upon arrival, the 33 year old male suspect was fleeing out the rear door of the residence. He was taken into custody, arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Centre to appear for a Bail hearing on Saturday.  


Arrest Warrant Executed

Early Saturday morning, police conducted a person’s check in the 900 block of College Ave and found a 28 year old female from Neepawa who was wanted on an outstanding endorsed warrant of arrest.  She was released by way of a Promise to Appear in court on May 14th, 2018.


Drug Investigation

Early Saturday morning, police conducted a traffic stop on 1st Street North, and entered into a drug investigation.  A 31 year old female passenger from Brandon was found to be in possession of approximately 10 ounces of methamphetamine and 3 ounces of cocaine, as well as scales and packaging material. The total street value of the drugs is estimated at over 63,000 dollars.  She is charged with Possession for the Purpose of trafficking Meth and Cocaine, and was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center for a bail hearing.
