Brandon Police Service Media Release for the Past 24 Hours.

Male and Female Arrested in Stolen Truck:

At approximately 6:50 p.m., the owner of a stolen truck called Police and advised following the truck in the downtown area. Officers stopped the vehicle in the 1200 Block of Rosser Avenue and a female driver and male passenger were taken into custody. The 24-year-old female from Virden MB and 21-year-old man were arrested for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the female was also responsible for theft of merchandise from a business in the 3300 Block of Victoria Avenue on April 4th. The female was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Court on Thursday. The male was released from custody with a Court date in June. The 2008 Chevrolet Silverado truck was reported stolen to Police on Wednesday afternoon. The vehicle was stolen sometime overnight from the 200 Block of Middleton Avenue.

Female Arrested with Methamphetamine and Cocaine:

 At approximately 11:30 p.m., Police stopped a vehicle in the 1100 Block of Louise Avenue East as apart of an ongoing drug investigation. The female driver of the vehicle was taken into custody and a search of the vehicle recovered 28.47 grams of Methamphetamine and 27.7 grams of Cocaine as well as $390 cash. The combined street value of the drugs is approximately $8,400.00. The 35-year-old female from Brandon was arrested for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Crime. She was released from custody and scheduled to appear in Court in June.

Arrest Warrants Executed:

A 43-year-old man was arrested at his residence on an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Fail to Attend Court. The man was released and scheduled to appear in Court in May.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., Police stopped a female walking in the 1000 Block of Louise Avenue East and found the female to have a Warrant of Arrest for Theft Under $5000 X2. The 31-year-old female from Brandon was arrested and released to attend Court in May.

On Wednesday morning, a female contacted Police requesting the removal of an acquaintance from her house. Police attended and found that the caller had an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Probation. The 31-year-old female was arrested and released to attend Court in May.

A 29-year-old female from Brandon turned herself into Police on Wednesday afternoon for having a Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Undertaking and Fail to Appear in Court. The female was arrested and released with a Court date in May.

Break and Enter to Shed:

A shed on a residential property in the 400 Block of 14th Street was broken into sometime between 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday and a construction light stolen from within. There are no suspects at this time and Police investigation continues.

Breach of Court Orders:

On Wednesday evening, Police attended a disturbance at an apartment in the 2200 Block of Rosser Avenue. A male and female were located and the male was found to be on a Probation Order with a condition to not contact or communicate with the female. The 42-year-old man from Brandon was arrested for Breach of Probation and released to attend Court in June.

A 40-year-old man from Brandon was arrested for being in Breach of three conditions of his Recognizance Order. A small amount of Marihuana was located on the man after he was taken into custody. The man was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Court on Thursday facing charges of Breach of Recognizance X3 and Possession of Marihuana.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., Police attended a residence in Brentwood Trailer Park after receiving a report from a female that a male was knocking on her doors. The man was located and found to be bound by conditions of an Undertaking to have no contact or communication with the female caller. The 39-year-old man from Brandon was arrested for Breach of Undertaking and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Thursday.

Mischief to Property:

At approximately 10:00 p.m., a resident from the 3600 Block of Centennial Blvd reported that a window was broken by shots from a pellet gun. Police attended and found three pellets from the window area. There are no suspects at this time and Police investigation continues.

Other Arrests:

Two individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace.
