Brandon Police Service Media Release for the Past 24 Hours.

Arrest Warrant Executed:

A 37-year-old female from Brandon was arrested for having a Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Probation, Fail to Attend Court and Fail to Appear for Finger Prints. She was released from custody and scheduled to appear in Court in May.

Theft Under $5000:

 At approximately 9:20 p.m., an employee of a business in the 900 Block of Victoria Avenue reported an individual attempted to steal $1681.81 worth of merchandise. The items were recovered but the suspect left in a vehicle. Police attended and located the vehicle. A 30-year-old female from Brandon was arrested for Theft Under $5000 and released to attend Court in June.  

Attempt Break and Enter to Garages:

On Tuesday afternoon, Police received two separate reports of attempt Break and Enters to garages. The first reported was to the man door of a garage in the 700 Block of 14th Street and the second also to a man door in the 3000 Block of Princess Avenue. In both cases, suspects attempted to pry open the locked doors. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time and Police investigations continue.


Stolen Snowmobile Recovered:

At 6:30 a.m., Police received a report of snowmobile being driven eastbound on Rosser Avenue. Officers attended and followed the tracks, which led to the recovery of a snowmobile at the rear of a residence on Frederick Street. The suspect was not located and the 2006 Arctic Cat was found to be stolen from Headingly MB. Police investigation continues.

Prohibited Driving:

Just after midnight, Police stopped a vehicle in the 1500 Block of 3rd Street. The female driver of the vehicle was found to be Prohibited from driving. The 32-year-old female from Brandon was arrested for Drive While Prohibited and released to attend Court in May.
