Fail to Comply with Recognizance Order:

At approximately 1030am Sunday morning, police located a highly intoxicated male in the 1300 block of 18th Street. Police learned that the 50yr old Brandon man was the subject of a Recognizance Order with an included condition that he not consume alcohol. The male was lodged at BCC to be released when sober for Court on May 31st.

Assault, Threats, Carry Concealed Weapon:

At approximately 10:17am on Sunday morning, a female from a residence in the 1200 block of Rosser Avenue, stated that a male came to her residence assaulted her by grabbing her throat and threatened to end her life. The victim said the male was concealing a gun in his waistband and left in a vehicle. Police stopped the vehicle in the 1800 block of McTavish Avenue in a high-risk takedown. Police did not locate a gun but a large machete was found beside the male in the vehicle. A 42yr old Sydney, Mb was arrested for Assault, Threats, Carry Concealed Weapon and released to appear in Court on May 31st.

Domestic Assault:

On Sunday afternoon at approximately 1:21pm, police received a complaint of assault. The victim reports her boyfriend came to her residence earlier in the day and caused some damage and had assaulted the previous day. Police attended the male’s residence and arrested the 39yr old Brandon man for assault and released him to appear in Court on May 03rd.

Stolen Vehicle:

On Sunday evening at 9:45pm, a male reported his 2017 black Jeep Compass, Mb Lic GBS 367 was stolen between March 30th and April 01st 2018. The owner stated the vehicle was parked at his residence. Police investigation continues.

Warrants of Arrest Executed:


On Sunday afternoon at 3:10pm, police were called to a residence in the 400 block of 11th Street to assist the land lord in removing squatters from the residence. Police learned one of the squatters had an existing unendorsed arrest warrant for B&E with intent, Breach of Probation and Breach of Recognizance. The 45yr old male was arrested and lodged at BCC for Court in the morning.

On Sunday late afternoon at 5:30pm, a male attended to Brandon Police Service to turn himself in on an outstanding arrest warrant for Breach of Probation. A 26yr old Pine River, Mb man was arrested and released to appear in Court on May 03rd.

On Monday morning at 1:25am, police observed a vehicle with burnt out headlight in the area of Stickney Avenue and 14th Street North. Shortly after, the registered owner was observed at the front door of a residence in the 000 block of 14th Street North. The male was checked and found to be a subject of an unendorsed arrest warrant for Fail to attend Court. Police arrested a 24yr old Brandon man and lodged him at BCC for Court in the morning.
