Warrant Executed

On Saturday afternoon at 4:30, police attended a residence on Van Horne Avenue and discovered a Brandon female who had a warrant for her arrest for breaching her court order and failing to appear in court.  She was lodged at Brandon Correctional Center, to appear in court.


Assault, Breach of Conditions

At 4:30 on Saturday, Police attended a group home on Victoria Avenue and learned that one of the youths at the home had tried to assault two workers with a broom handle and fled prior to police arrival.  The accused was located back at the residence later the same day and arrested.  He was lodged for court in the morning.


Impaired Driver 

At 0050 hours, police attended a motor vehicle accident at Sixth and Victoria.  There was little damage from the accident but one driver exhibited signs of impairment.  The 32-year-old Brandon male was arrested and returned to Brandon Police Service where he provided samples of his breath, one of which was twice the legal limit.  The male was released from custody, and is charged with Impaired Driving and Driving Over .08, and will appear in court later in March.

Other Arrests 

In unrelated incidents, two males were arrested for Breach of the Peace and lodged for release when sober. 

Also in unrelated incidents, two other males were arrested and lodged under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and will be released when sober.
