Brandon Police Service Media Release for the Past 24 Hours.

Arrest Warrants Executed:

At approximately 3:00 p.m., Police attended a residence on Willowdale Crescent after becoming aware that a female had a Warrant of Arrest for Break and Enter, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fail to Attend Court. The 19-year-old female was arrested and released to attend Court in March.    

Theft Under $5000, Arrest Warrants Executed:

At approximately 11:15 p.m., an employee from a downtown drinking establishment reported a male entered the business and was observed with a gun hidden in the back of his pants. Officers attended and located the male a short distance away, as he; left the business before Police arrived. The male was found to be in possession of a toy handgun as well as a small space heater that he stole from the business.  The male suspect was also found to have outstanding Warrants for his Arrest for Theft Under $5000, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Breach of Recognizance, Fail to Appear for Finger Prints and Fail to Attend Court. The male was additionally found to be in Breach of a Court Order. The 52-year-old man from Brandon was arrested, lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center and is scheduled to appear in Court on Wednesday.  

Stolen Vehicle Recovered:

On Tuesday afternoon, Police received a report that a vehicle slid off the road and into the ditch in the 700 Block of Patricia Avenue East. The driver of the vehicle was not located when officers attended and the vehicle was found to be stolen from a rural Brandon address. The 1992 white Ford Ranger truck was recovered and Police investigation continues.

Breach of Court Order:

At approximately 3:15 a.m., Police responded to a residence on Tracey Street for a disturbance. An intoxicated female was located and found to be the subject of a Court Order with a condition to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. The 34-year-old female was arrested for Breach of Court Order, lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center and is scheduled to appear in Court on Wednesday.  

 

Other Arrests:

A 17-year-old male youth was arrested for Breach of the Peace and detained at the Brandon Correctional Center to be released when sober.
