Brandon Police Service Media Release for the Past 24 Hours.

Arrest Warrants Executed:

At approximately 6:50 p.m., Police attended a residence in the 800 Block of 13th Street and arrested a 19-year-old man on an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Recognizance. The man was released to attend Court in March.  

On Sunday afternoon, Police attended a residence on 13th Street North for a disturbance. Officers located a female who was found to have an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Probation. The 32-year-old female from Brandon was arrested and released to attend Court in March.

 

 Robbery:

A 16-year-old male youth from Brandon was arrested on Sunday evening for his part in a Robbery that occurred at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Saturday night. The suspect and another male youth sprayed the victim in the face with “bear spray” and stole his watch. This occurred in the area of 4th Street and Lorne Avenue. The suspect was released and is scheduled to attend Court in March. Police continue to investigate this attack. The victim did not require medical attention for minor injuries sustained from this incident.

 

Theft Under $5000:

On February 10th 2018, Police received a report that a male stole merchandise from a business in the 1000 Block of Victoria Avenue. The theft was captured on video and on Sunday afternoon, Police located the male suspect. The 25-year-old man from Brandon was arrested for Theft Under $5000 and released to attend Court in April.

 

Domestic Assault:

At approximately 9:00 p.m., a female youth reported to Police that her boyfriend assaulted her earlier in the evening inside a residence on Cornell Bay. The victim sustained minor injuries including cuts and bruising because of the assault. The 17-year-old male suspect was located a short time after Police received the complaint. The suspect was arrested for Domestic Assault and released to attend Court in March.
