Brandon Police Service Media Release for the Past 24 Hours.

 

Stolen Vehicle Recovered:

At approximately 11:45 p.m., Police received notification of an abandoned vehicle in a parking lot in the 2600 Block of Victoria Avenue. Officers recovered a brown 2001 Pontiac Montana van that was reported stolen from the RM of Pipestone MB on February 4th. Police investigation continues.

 

 Arrest Warrants Executed:

At approximately 8:40 a.m., Police attended a residence on Garwood Drive for a disturbance. A 16-year-old female youth was located and found to have an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Undertaking. The female was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Wednesday.

At approximately 9:00 a.m., Police arrested a 21-year-old man from Brandon at his residence on an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Fail to Attend Court. The man was released to attend Court in March.

At approximately 10:50 a.m., Police stopped a vehicle in the 2000 Block of Brandon Avenue and the male driver was found to have a DNA Warrant. The 39-year-old man from Brandon was arrested, processed and released from custody.

On Tuesday afternoon, a 35-year-old Brandon man turned himself in at the Court House for having an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Mischief Under $5000. The male was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Wednesday.  

 

Theft Under $5000:

On January 16th 2018, an employee of a business in the 900 Block of Victoria Avenue reported a male suspect stole merchandise and fled the store. Officers obtained the video surveillance and were able to identify the 36-year-old man from Brandon who was arrested for Theft Under $5000 on Tuesday evening. The man was released to attend Court in April.

 

Theft Under $5000 – Possession of Stolen Property:

On January 29th 2018, Officers began an investigation after receiving a report that the manager of an apartment complex stole a snow blower and money from laundry room machines. Through investigation, the man was also found to be in possession of a stolen utility trailer. On Tuesday afternoon, the 49-year-old man from Winnipeg was arrested for Theft Under $5000 X2 and Possession of Stolen Property. He was released to attend Court in April.
