Brandon Police Service Media Release for the Past 24 Hours.

Break and Enter:

On Monday morning, an employee of a business in the 900 Block of Douglas Street reported a Break and Enter to their compound that occurred between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on January 26th. Security video shows a male and female enter several vehicles parked inside the compound. It is unknown at this time what, if anything was stolen from the vehicles. Police investigation continues.

On Monday afternoon, a resident from Ashgrove BLVD reported that within the past two months his Giant Cruiser bicycle was stolen from the locked garage. Police investigation continues.

  

 Arrest Warrant Executed:

A 35-year-old female from Brandon turned herself into Police on Monday for having an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Probation. The female was arrested and released to attend Court in March.

At approximately 10:15 a.m., Police attended a residence on Lorne Avenue on an unrelated matter and located a 21-year-old man from Brandon who was found to have an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for fail to Comply with a Probation Order. The male was arrested and released to attend Court in March.

 

Breach of Court Orders:

A 29-year-old man from Alexander, MB was arrested on Monday morning for Breach of Undertaking. The man was stopped driving his vehicle during a time he was to obey a curfew condition. The man was arrested and released to attend Court in April.  

At approximately 1:00 a.m., Police responded to a report of a suspicious person on Lawrence Crescent. An intoxicated male was located standing on a doorstep to a residence. The man was found to be on an Undertaking with a condition to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. The 39-year-old man was arrested for Breach of Undertaking and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to be released when sober to attend Court in April.

 

Other Arrests:

One individual was detained under the Intoxicated Person Detention Act.

Shortly after midnight, Police arrested a 17-year-old male youth for Consuming Liquor Under 18 years of age after the youth was causing problems in a residence. The youth was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center, to be released when sober.
