Brandon Police Service Media Release for the Past 24 Hours.

Stolen Vehicle – Vehicle Fire:

At approximately 10:30 a.m., Police received a report of a burnt vehicle on the side of the road in the 4200 Block of Patricia Avenue. The vehicle is a 2006 Hummer with Manitoba Licence Plate HXC 327. A short time after recovering the vehicle, the owner contacted Police and reported that the vehicle was stolen sometime overnight from a parking lot of a Hotel on Victoria Avenue. Police investigation continues.

 Arrest Warrant Executed:

At approximately 9:40 a.m., Police responded to a disturbance at a residence on Centennial BLVD. An 18-year-old male was located and found to have an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Probation. The male was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center, to appear to appear in Court on Monday.

Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose – Breach of Undertaking:

On Monday evening, Police stopped a vehicle in the 300 Block of Louise Avenue. A 21-year-old female passenger in the vehicle was found in possession of a pellet gun. The female is the subject of an Undertaking with a condition to not possess any weapons. The female was arrested for Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Breach of Undertaking. She was released and is scheduled to appear in Court in April.

Other Arrests:

One individual was detained under the Intoxicated Person Detention Act.
