Brandon Police Service Media Release for the Past 24 Hours.


Business Break and Enter:

At approximately 7:00 a.m., Police responded to a business in the 000-Block of 10th Street after receiving information that the business was broken into. Investigation revealed that the side door to the business was forced open and cash stolen from within. A witness reported seeing three individuals fleeing the business in a red mini-van. Police investigation continues.


Domestic Assault:

On Thursday morning, Police responded to a residence in the 500 Block of 2nd Street after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed that the ex-boyfriend of a female attended the residence and punched the female in the face. The 21-year-old man from Brandon was located outside the residence. He was arrested for Domestic Assault and released on conditions with a Court date in February. The victim did not require medical attention because of the assault.


Arrest Warrants Executed:

A 32-year-old man from Brandon was arrested on an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Recognizance. The man was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center and is scheduled to appear in Court on Friday.

A 31-year-old man from Brandon turned himself into Police for having a Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Probation. The man was arrested and released to attend Court in February.


Breach of Court Order:

On Thursday evening, a resident on Baker Bay requested Police remove an intoxicated male from the residence who is refusing to leave. The man was found to be the subject of a Court Order with a condition to abstain from consuming alcohol. A 41-year-old man from Brandon was arrested and lodged at the Correctional Center to appear in Court on Friday.


 Other Arrests:

Three individual was arrested and detained for Breach of the Peace, to be released when sober.
