Brandon Police Service Media Release

Break and Enter:


On Tuesday morning, Police received a report of a Break and Enter to a building in the 100 Block of Queens Avenue East that occurred sometime between the afternoon of December 3rd and morning of December 6th. Investigation indicates that entry to the building occurred through a locked door on the North side of the building. Locked offices within the building were forced open and entered however, nothing appears to be missing from the offices. Police investigation continues.

 

Arrest Warrants Executed:


On Tuesday morning, a 16-year-old female youth was arrested on an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Fail to Comply with Probation. The youth was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center and is scheduled to appear in Court on Wednesday.


At approximately 11:30 a.m., officers observed a male and female walking in the 1500 Block of Louise Avenue and were aware that both had outstanding Warrants of Arrest. As officers approached the male and female, they ran and entered into a residence belonging to the female. Police followed and were able to take both into custody without further incident. The 23-year-old male from Brandon was arrested on two outstanding Warrants of Arrest for Break & Enter, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Use firearm During Commission of an Offence, Possession of Prohibited Weapon, Breach of Probation, Breach of Recognizance, Wear Disguise with Intent and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose. The male was found to be intoxicated and in Breach of three conditions of a Court Order. A Search of the male also recovered a set of brass knuckles. The male was additional arrested for these offences and was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Wednesday. The 42-year-old female was arrested on her outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Probation and Fail to Attend Court. She was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center and is scheduled to appear in Court on Wednesday.


A 21-year-old man from Brandon was arrested on Tuesday afternoon on an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Probation. The man was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Wednesday.

 

Breach of Court Order:


A 30-year-old male inmate from the Brandon Correctional Center was arrested on Tuesday after Police were notified that the male breached a No Contact Condition of a Court Order. The male is scheduled to appear in Court on Wednesday.
