Brandon Police Service Media Release


Break and Enter:


On Sunday morning, a homeowner from the 900 Block of 1st street reported that their garage was entered sometime overnight. Nothing inside the garage appeared to be disturbed or missing. Police investigation continues.


On Sunday afternoon, a homeowner from the 400 Block of Brandon Avenue called Police reporting returning home from being away to find the garage had been broke into. The walk-in door was forced open and a case of beer of stolen. Video surveillance from a home security system shows three male suspects responsible for this crime. Police continue to investigate to attempt to identify these suspects.




Theft Under $5000:


On Sunday afternoon, Police arrested a 41-year-old man from The Pas Manitoba for Theft Under $5000 as a result of an investigation from Saturday afternoon where the man stole merchandise from a business in the 1000 Block of Victoria Avenue. The man was released to attend Court in January.  




Vehicles/Garage Fire:


At approximately 4:00 a.m., a homeowner from the 200 Block of 7th Street reported two vehicles on fire. Police and Fire members attended and discovered four vehicles on fire and the garage engulfed in flames. Fire members extinguished the fires and Police evacuated individuals in adjacent homes for precautionary measures. The cause of the fire is being investigated however, foul play is not suspected.






Sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning, graffiti was spray painted on the exterior wall on the east side of the Police Service building. Police investigation continues to determine the identity of the suspect.




 Other Arrests:


One individual was arrested for Breach of the Peace and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to be released when sober.
