Brandon Police Service Media Release


Mischief to Property:


At approximately 1:45 a.m., Police responded to the parking lot of a business in the 3200 Block of Victoria Avenue after receiving a report that an intoxicated male is smashing vehicles. The caller further reported that the suspect smashed out his truck rear window and dented the side of the truck. Officers attended and located the male hiding in the lot. Investigation revealed that the suspect also smashed out a glass window on the front door to the business however, no entry was gained and smashed out a window and broke a side mirror of a separate vehicle parked in the lot. The 26-year-old man from Hartney Manitoba was arrested for Mischief to Property X 3 and was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to be released when sober to attend Court in February.  






Arrest Warrant Executed:


On Thursday night, Police arrested a 51-year-old man from Valley River First Nation on an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Probation. The man was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center and is scheduled to appear in Court on Friday.


A 28-year-old female from Griswold Manitoba turned herself into Police on Thursday afternoon for having a Warrant of Arrest for Failing to Comply with Conditions of a Probation Order. The female was arrested and released to attend Court in January.






Other Arrests:


At approximately 10:50 p.m., Police arrested an 18-year-old female for Breach of the Peace after the intoxicated female returned to her residence and began causing a disturbance. The female was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to be released when sober.


At approximately 11:00 p.m., Police attended to a business in the 2600 Block of Victoria Avenue after an employee of the business reported an intoxicated male is refusing to leave. A 37-year-old man was located, arrested for Breach of the Peace and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to be released when sober.
