Arrest Warrant Executed:

 

On Tuesday morning at 9:00am, a 30yr old Brandon woman attended to the Brandon Police Service and turned herself in as she had an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Fail to Attend Court and Theft Under. The female was arrested and will appear in Court on October 10th.

 

On Tuesday, the Brandon RCMP arrested a 23yr old woman on the strength of an outstanding BPS Warrant of Arrest for Theft Under. The female will appear in Court on October 10th.

 

Possession of a Weapon, Carry Concealed Weapon, Public Mischief and Breach of Undertaking:

 

A result of an ongoing investigation, Police arrested a 19yr old Portage la Prairie man for providing a false name, carrying a weapon and breaching court conditions of absolute curfew. The male was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in Court on October 11th.

 

Breach of Recognizance, Warrant of Arrest x2:

 

A result of an ongoing investigation, Police arrested a 47yr old Portage la Prairie man for breaching court conditions of absolute curfew and two outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Assault, Utter Threats, Fail to Comply with Probation and Fail to Comply with Recognizance. The male was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in Court on October 11th.

 

Domestic Assault and Mischief Under $5000:

 

On Tuesday night at approximately 9:10pm, Police attended to a residence in the 200 block of 21st Street for a disturbance call. Police learnt that a female had assaulted her husband by punching him in the face. The female also damaged his vehicle by striking it with 2x4. A 31yr old Brandon woman was arrested and released to appear in Court on November 9th.

 

Carry a Concealed Weapon and Breach of Probation:

 

Early Wednesday morning at 00:25am, Police attended to the area of 6th Street and Princess Avenue upon receiving information of a theft of a cell phone and a male was going to return the stolen cell phone. The investigation revealed the male actually returned the stolen phone, however the male was found to be in possession of a concealed weapon. The male is currently bound by a Court order not to possess a weapon. A 21yr old Brandon man was arrested and lodged at BCC for Court in the morning.

 

Impaired Driving and Drive Over .08:

 

Early Wednesday morning at approximately 00:50am a male, accompanied by two other males, attended to Brandon Police Service to report he had been driving northbound on 65th Street East and he drove off the road into the Assiniboine River. The male displayed signs of impairment and was arrested for impaired driving. The 21yr old Brandon man provided samples of his breath, which exceeded the legal limit. The male was released to appear in Court on October 16th.

 

Other Arrests:

 

On Tuesday at 6:05pm, Police were advised by Brandon Transit that there were a group of people in front of business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue and stated there was some inappropriate behavior. Police attended and located an intoxicated female consuming alcohol in public. A 32yr old woman was arrested and lodged at BCC to be released when sober.

 

One individual was arrested for Beach of the Peace and lodged at BCC to be released when sober.
