Arrest Warrant Executed: 

On Sunday, Brandon Police Service were advised by the Portage RCMP had arrested a 39yr old male on BPS Unendorsed Warrant of Arrest for Utter Threats to Cause Death, Assault with a Weapon and Sexual Assault. The male will appear in Court in Portage la Prairie, MB.

 

Assault and Sexual Assault: 

On Sunday evening at 6:37 pm, staff at BRHC Emerg reported a female attended to Emerg reported her common-law boyfriend forcibly touched her in an inappropriate manner. Police spoke with the female who disclosed that she was also assaulted by her boyfriend in February. A 34yr old Brandon man was arrested and released to appear in Court on November 2nd.

 

Theft Under $5000: 

On Sunday night at 9:14 pm, an employee at a youth group centre reported her iPhone 6 was stolen and the offence was recorded on video. Police viewed the video and identified the male suspect. The 14yr old Brandon youth was located, arrested and released to appear in Court on November 7th.

 

Breach of Recognizance and Possess Break-in Instruments: 

Early Monday morning at 1:14 am, Police had been dispatched to the area of 9th Street and Richmond Avenue in response to several complaints of unknown suspects throwing rocks at cars causing damage. Police located a male in the 300 block of Aberdeen Avenue carrying a backpack containing a set of bolt cutters and set of keys with a sticker on the fob. Police learned the male was on a Recognizance Order, from Winnipeg, and was in breach of his curfew. A 22yr old Brandon man was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre for Court in the morning.

 

Mischief Property: 

Early Monday morning at 1:43 am, an alarm was received by AAA Alarms from a business in the 700 block of 10th Street. Police attended and found the glass to the front door had been smashed. An employee attended to secure the business. It appears nothing was taken. Still under investigation.

 

Assault and Breach of Recognizance: 

On Monday morning at 5:11 am, Police were called to the area of 1st Street and Rosser Avenue for a domestic disturbance call. Police attended and learned a female attacked and scratched a male on the face resulting in visible injuries. A 20yr old Brandon woman was arrested and released to appear in Court on November 6th. Police learned the male is on a Recognizance Order to have no contact with the female. A 24yr old Brandon man was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre for remand in the morning.

 

Other Arrests: 

One individual was detained under the Intoxicated Person Detention Act to be released when sober.

 

One individual was arrested for Breach of the Peace and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to be released when sober.
