For Last 24 Hours: 

 

Stolen Vehicle    

 

On Sunday afternoon, Brandon police received a report of a 2001 Ford F-250 pickup truck, white in color, licence #FZH 678, that had been taken overnight from a south end residence.  The matter is still under investigation. 

 

Break and Enter    

 

On Sunday afternoon, Brandon police received a report that the front door of a residence in the west end of Brandon was ajar.  Police investigated and determined that persons unknown had forced the door.  The house was under construction and there was nothing of value within, according to the contractor.  This matter is still under investigation by police.  

 

Stolen Vehicle    

 

On Sunday afternoon, Brandon police received a report of a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan, grey in color, licence #HCR 194, that had been taken overnight from a downtown residence.  The matter is still under investigation. 

 

Mischief Under $5000

 

On Sunday morning, Brandon police received a report of a smashed out truck window and a slashed tire on a vehicle parked at a business in the 200 block of 18 Street North.  Investigation determined that a 25 year male from Wasagamack was responsible.  He was located later in the day and arrested without incident.  He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear for remand in the AM.  

 

Structure Fire  

 

On Sunday evening, Brandon police attended the 200 block of 1st Street for a report of a fire.  Upon arrival a detached garage was on fire.  The interior of the garage was damaged. The fire appears suspicious and is still under investigation by police. 

 

Other Arrests

 

    • 1 person was arrested and detained for Breach of the Peace.

    • 1 person was arrested and detained under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act
