Residential Break and Enter:

 

 

 

Between midnight on August 31st and 0500 hours on September 1st a detached, locked garage was entered in the west end of Brandon.  Stolen were two mountain bikes, one women’s purple “Lazer” and one men’s black and grey “Marlon”.  There are no suspects at this time and police continue to investigate.

Breach of Undertaking & Warrant of Arrest:  

 

 

 

Stolen Vehicle Recovered:

 

 

 

At approximately 4:30 on September 1, a member of the Souris RCMP recovered the stolen 2010 Red Dodge Ram truck that was taken from Brandon on August 31st.  The vehicle has been towed to the Brandon Police Service for Forensic work. 

 

 

 

Breach of Recognizance:

 

 

 

Domestic Assault:

 

 

 

On Friday evening, a Police attended a residence on Brandon Ave for a report of a domestic assault in progress.  The female resident disclosed being struck by her ex-partner who was present in the residence.  A 37-year-old male of no fixed address was arrested and lodged to appear in court in the morning

 

 

 

Mischief to Property:

 

 

 

At 5:45 hours on September 1st, a complaint was received by Brandon Police of a rock being thrown through a kitchen window in the 700 block of 9th Street.  The suspect was located a short time later and arrested.  The 19-year-old Brandon man will appear in court in October.

 

 

 

Unlawfully at Large:

 

 

 

Police have sought an arrest warrant for a 24-year-old male of no fixed address for failing to attend to the Brandon Correctional Center to complete his weekend sentence.  The whereabouts of the male are not known at this time.

 

 

 

Structure Fire:

 

At approximately 11:00 p.m., police and BFD attended a fire in a detached garage in the 200 block of 1st Street.  There was extensive damage to the garage as a result.  The origin of the fire is believed to be suspicious and an investigation is ongoing.

 

 

 

Impaired Driver:

 

 

 

At 9:30, Friday evening police observed a black Dodge truck travelling erratically in the 800 block of Victoria Avenue.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver exhibited signs of impairment.  The 21-year-old female from Sioux Valley provided breath samples of double the legal limit.  She was lodged at BCC to appear in court in the morning.  The driver is the subject of a Court Order with a condition to abstain from consuming alcohol and is charged with that offence as well.

 

 

 

Arrest Warrant Executed:

 

 

 

Police located an 18-year-old female from Brandon while in attendance at an unrelated call for service who had an unendorsed warrant for her arrest for failing to provide a DNA sample as directed by the courts.  She was lodged to appear in court in the morning.

 

 

 

Other Arrest:

 

 

 

Six individuals were arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act to be released when sober and four individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace also to be released when sober.  Three individuals were arrested in accordance with the Liquor Gaming Control Act all of which will be released when sober.
