Brandon Police Service Media Release

 

Impaired Driving:

 

At approximately 8:12 p.m., a vehicle entered a Police Check Stop in the 300 Block of 1st Street North. The male driver of the vehicle displayed signs of Impairment and was transported to the Police Service where breath samples obtained were in excess of the legal limit. A 39-year-old male from Brandon was arrested for Impaired Driving and Drive Over 80 mg%. The male was released to attend Court later this month. 

 

 

At approximately 1:13 a.m., Police stopped a vehicle in the 2400 Block of Victoria Avenue. The female driver of the vehicle was placed on a Road Side screening device, which resulted in a Fail. The female was transported to the Police Service and breath samples obtained were in excess of the legal limit. The 52-year-old female was arrested for Impaired Driving and Drive Over 80 mg% and released to attend Court later this month.

 

 

Drive While Disqualified:

 

At approximately 10:20 a.m., Police conducted a traffic stop in the 700 Block of Princess Avenue. The male driver of the vehicle was found to be Prohibited from Driving. The 39-year-old male from Brandon was arrested for Driving While Disqualified and released to attend Court in October.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed:

 

On Monday evening, Police attended to a residence in the 400 Block of Park Street on an unrelated matter. A 33-year-old female from the residence was found to have an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Failing to Attend for Finger Prints. The female was arrested and released to attend Court in September. 

 

On Monday afternoon, a 15-year-old female youth from Brandon was arrested for having a Warrant of Arrest for Failing to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking. The female was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Tuesday.

 

 

Break and Enter:

 

At approximately 3:30 a.m., Police responded to an alarm coming from a garage on Violet Crescent. Police found that a window was removed and the walk in door was open. No suspects were located and nothing was reported stolen from the garage. Police continue to investigate.

 

At 4:09 a.m., a neighbour from a multi unit residential building in the 200 Block of 4th Street called to report that two people just broke into an apartment and fled in different directions. Police attended and found that a window to the apartment was broken out however the suspects were not located. The tenant was not home at the time of this incident. Nothing has been reported stolen from the apartment and Police continue to investigate.
