Break and Enters



At 6:00 am, an alarm was reported from a business in the 600 block of 8th St and upon Police arrival, the front window was found to have been broken. Upon viewing video surveillance, one male suspect was seen entering the business while a female was also found to be involved in this incident. This incident is still under investigation.



A break and enter was reported to have occurred to a garage in the 600 block of Princess Ave E at 2:24 am. Through video surveillance, police were able to identify a 15 year old Brandon youth as one of the suspects and through further investigation were able to identify another 15 year old Winnipeg youth as the responsibly parties. Police were able to recover the stolen property that included a set of gold clubs. Both youths were charged with break and enter and were released for a later court date.



A break and Enter was reported to a shed in the 200 block of Franklin St sometime over the weekend. Stolen were  male and female Norco bicycles with the female bike being desribed   



Supervision Suspension Warrant



At 1:50 pm, Police attended to a residence in the 000 block of 8th St N as they were aware that a 16-year-old youth residing at that address had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Police located the youth there and arrested him and lodged him at Brandon Correctional Centre for court in the morning.



Impaired Driver



At 3:40 pm, a call was received stating that there was a male subject in a truck following a vehicle very closely and was driving erratically along Highway 10 a few miles south of Brandon. Police were able to locate the suspect vehicle in the 1100 block of 18th St. A 38 year old man from Piney was the driver of the vehicle and was exhibiting signs of impairment and was arrested for impaired driving. After being arrested he was taken to Brandon Police Service where he provided samples of his breath close to twice the legal limit. He was charged with: Impaired Driving, Driving Over .08, Prohibited Driving, Breach of Probation and numerous Highway Traffic charges including having open liquor in a vehicle and following to close to another vehicle. The male was lodged at BCC until court in the morning.



Other Arrests



Manitou RCMP arrested an 18 year old man on a Brando Police Service warrant for Break, Enter, and Theft. He was released for a later court date.



Three other individuals were arrested for being intoxicated and causing a disturbance.
