Break & Enter:

 

On Tuesday, a homeowner in the 700 block of 23rd Street reported to Police a break-in to their residence that occurred between July 13th and July 18th, 2017. The complainant stated she was away during this time and upon her return noticed the door was unlocked. Over the past two weeks, she has noticed several items missing throughout the residence. Still under investigation.

 

On Tuesday evening, a homeowner in the 600 block of 9th Street reported that sometime overnight their residence was broken into and items taken from the residence. The complainant said they noticed Tuesday morning the front door was open and the screen was propped open as well. The missing items are a 13inch grey Acer laptop and a Iphone 4s cell phone. Still under investigation.

 

On Wednesday morning at 00:47am, AAA Alarms reported an alarm sounding at a business in the 500 block of 8th Street. Police attended and found the window on the west side of the building smashed. An employee attended the scene and Police reviewed the video surveillance, which showed 3 suspects wearing dark hoodies and stealing merchandise. Still under investigation.

 

Flight from Police:

 

As a result of an ongoing Flight from Police investigation that occurred in the 2600 block of Princess Avenue on the morning of July 30th, additional charges, Drive while Disqualified, Breach of Probation and HTA Offences (Tamper with Motor Vehicle and Drive without Liability Insurance) have been laid against the 30yr old male accused. The 30yr old Brandon man was located at BCC and arrested and to appear in Court on August 02nd.

 

Assault with a Weapon:

 

On Tuesday evening at 7:08pm, Police received a call from a female stating that she was at a residence in the 1200 block of Rosser Avenue and hit her boyfriend with a hammer and he was bleeding. Police attended and located both the female and male who were both intoxicated. The male was transported the hospital for medical assistance (non-life threatening). A 53yr old Brandon woman was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre until sober when she will be released to appear in Court on August 31st.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed:

 

On Wednesday morning at 01:33am, Police conducted a person check in the 2200 block of Brandon Avenue and learnt the female to have outstanding Unendorsed Warrants of Arrest for Breach of Probation, Theft Under $5000, Fail to Appear Court and Fail to Appear Indent. A 27yr old Brandon woman was arrested and lodged at BCC for Court in the morning.

 

Impaired Driving, Drive Over .08 and Public Mischief:

 

On Wednesday morning at 02:16am, Police conducted a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Victoria Avenue after observing a vehicle swerving all over the roadway. The female driver exited the vehicle and provided a false name to Police. The female driver, a 26yr old Moose Lake, Mb woman, exhibited signs of impairment was arrested and transported to BPS where she provided breath samples over the legal limit and was lodged at BCC for Court in the morning.

 

Breach of Probation x2:

 

On Wednesday morning at 02:16am, Police conducted a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Victoria Avenue after observing a vehicle swerving all over the roadway. An intoxicated 27yr old Moose Lake, Mb man was passenger in the vehicle found to be on Probation with conditions to have no contact with the female driver and to abstain from alcohol. The male was arrested and lodged at BCC for Court in the morning.

 

Other Arrests:

 

1 Individual was arrested and detained under the Intoxicated Person Detention Act

 

4 Individuals were arrested and detained for Breach of the Peace
