Brandon Police Service Media Release

Arrest Warrant Executed:

At 10:07 a.m., Police recognized a male at the rear of a residence in the 100 Block of 16th Street and knew the man was Wanted for failing to Attend Court. The 29-year-old man from Brandon was arrested and released to attend Court later this month.

Break and Enter:

On Sunday morning, a resident from the 700 Block of 19th Street called Police reporting returning home from being away for the weekend to find the house broken into. Entry was gained through a window and some jewelry, a 50-inch television and a gaming system was stolen. Police continue to investigate.

Fraud Under $5000:

A 32-year-old female from Brandon was arrested on Sunday afternoon for Fraud Under $5000 as a result of an investigation from June 20th 2017. The female suspect used a receipt from a previous purchase, selected the same items, and returned them for a cash refund. The female was released to attend Court in September.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered:

At 4:14 p.m., an employee from a business in the 100 Block of Highland Avenue called Police reporting that a 2006 Ford F-150 has been parked on their lot since June 28th. The vehicle was found to be stolen out of of Melfort Saskatchewan. Investigation continues.

Other Arrests:

Three individuals were detained under the Intoxicated Person Detention Act.

One individual was arrested and detained at the Brandon Correctional Center for Breach of the Peace.
