Breach of Court Order

At 7:36 am, Police were called to the parking lot of a business located in the 2600 blk of Victoria Ave. for a complaint that a male and a female were yelling at one another. The male was found to be the subject of a Protection Order with a condition that he have no contact with the female. The 27-year-old Brandon man was released on a Promise to Appear in Brandon Court on July 27 charged with Breach of a Court Order.

Possession of Methamphetamine

 

At 1:11 pm, a pedestrian check was conducted on a 27-year-old Brandon woman in the 900 blk of College Ave. She was found to have a warrant for her arrest. She was arrested and searched at which time she was found to be in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine. Police found a prohibited weapon (knife) and a passport that had been reported stolen. She was held overnight to appear this morning charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. She will also appear on a charge of Breach Probation that resulted in the warrant being issued.

Breach of Recognizance

On June 15, Police attended to a Brandon residence to conduct a check on the resident who was bound by the condition of a Recognizance to abide by a curfew. He was not at the residence breaching the curfew condition. He attended BPS on Friday afternoon and was arrested. The 43-year-old was held overnight to appear in court this morning charged with Breach of Recognizance.    

Vehicle Stolen/Recovered

At 8:30 pm, a male contacted police to report that his vehicle had been stolen from the 100 blk of 2nd St. He had left the vehicle running while he went into a residence and when he returned it was gone. At 1:30 am, RCMP located the vehicle Southwest of Brandon. The vehicle had been destroyed by fire. The incident remains under investigation.
