Brandon Police Service Media Release

Breach of Undertaking: 

At 8:40 p.m., Police responded to an apartment in the 100 Block of 3rd Street after receiving information that a male was in the apartment and bound by an Undertaking to have no contact or communication with the female tenant. Police noticed the male peeking out of a window and when let into the residence, the male was located hiding under the kitchen sink. The 27-year-old male from Killarney, MB was arrested for Breach of Undertaking and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Wednesday.

Theft Under $5000:

At 3:49 p.m., an employee from a business in the 900 Block of Victoria Avenue contacted Police after apprehending a female stealing $21.00 worth of merchandise. Police attended and the female was found to be highly intoxicated and of no fixed address. The 19-year-old female was arrested for Theft Under $5000 and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Wednesday.

Arrest Warrant Executed:

On Tuesday afternoon, Police observed a male walking in the 200 Block of 12th Street and were aware that the male had an outstanding Warrant for his Arrest for Fail to Appear in Court. The 35-year-old male from Brandon was arrested and released to attend Court in July.

On Tuesday afternoon, Police observed a male walking in the Downtown area and were aware that the male had an outstanding Warrant for his Arrest for Assault Causing Bodily Harm. The 40-year-old male from Brandon was arrested and released to attend Court in July.

Other Arrests:

Three individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace and detained at the Brandon Correctional Center.
