Break and Enter to Residence

At 11:45 am on Saturday morning, a resident of an apartment in the 3500 block of Willowdale Crescent reported returning home and finding the door to the residence had been kicked in.  The interior of the residence was a shambles and the television had been broken, however nothing was stolen.  The suspects had injured themselves when attempting to gain entry and officers seized evidence from blood left at the scene for forensic examination.

Domestic Assault

On Saturday afternoon, a female resident on Baker Bay reported that her ex-spouse had attended to her residence and assaulted her.  The accused, a 29 year old Brandon resident, is also on a court order to have no communication with the victim stemming from a previous assault charge.  The accused was lodged at Brandon Correctional Center to appear in court on Sunday morning.

Attempted Robbery/Unlawfully in a Dwelling House

A 27 year old man from Brandon was arrested and charged with Unlawfully in a Dwelling House and Attempted Robbery with Violence following an incident reported shortly after midnight on Saturday morning.  The accused attended to the residence of his ex-girlfriend in the 400 block of Assiniboine Ave, entered the home and damaged the interior while also attempting to steal some items from the victim.  He was not located at the time of the call, however at 12:30 am on Sunday morning he returned to the apartment and a witness reported he attempted to gain entry.  He was located by police, arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Center to appear in court.

Impaired Driving

At 1 minute passed midnight on Sunday morning, a vehicle was stopped in the 1400 block of 1st St.  The male drivershowed signs of intoxication and was arrested.  He provided samples of his breath with results twice the legal limit.  A 33 year old man from Brandon was released to appear in court later in June.

Other arrests

Four people were arrested on arrest warrants.

Three people were lodged under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act.

Three people were lodged for Breach of the Peace.

Two people were lodged under the Liquor and Gaming Control Act

One person was lodged for Breaching a Conditional Sentence.
