Break & Enter

  • A garage at a residence on Oak Bluff Road was entered overnight on between June 1st and 2nd.  Two bicycles and a bag containing baseball equipment were stolen.  One of the bikes and the baseball equipment were recovered however a black men’s Giant mountain bike is still missing.
  • At 5:06 pm on Friday,  a resident of a home on Buffalo Way reported his residence had been entered by someone forcing open the rear door.  A black and white Border Collie is missing from the residence.
  • On Friday evening, a resident of Inglewood Crescent reported their shed had been broken into overnight between June 1st and June 2nd.  A lawnmower was stolen.

Theft Under $5000

 On Friday morning, a 37 year old man from Brandon was arrested for two incidents of theft under $5000.  Shortly after 9:00 am, a business in the 1000 block of 13th Street reported a man had entered an unlocked back door and taken a bag of tools.  He dropped the tools and ran away when he was spotted by an employee.  Half an hour later, a man was apprehended by staff at a convenience store on 10th St for attempting to steal a phone charger.  Officers attended and determined the man was responsible for both incidents.  He was arrested and released to appear in court in July.

Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Weapon

On Friday at 6:20 pm, officers were conducting a walk through of a downtown bar when they located a man in possession of several small baggies containing a substance believed to be methamphetamine.  He was also in possession of a small knife and a pair of home made brass knuckles along with scales and two cell phones.   A 23 year old Brandon man was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Breach of Undertaking.  He will appear in court on June 3rd.

Impaired Driving

  • A few minutes after midnight on June 3rd, a vehicle was stopped in the 800 block of Pacific Ave.  The driver showed signs of consuming alcohol and failed a roadside breath test. He was arrested and later provided two samples over the legal limit.  The driver is a 43 year old man from Regina and was released to appear in court in June.
  • At 12:45 am on Saturday morning, a report was received of a vehicle running a red light, jumping a curb and colliding with a tree at 34th St and Park Ave.  The vehicle was reported as then heading south on Waverly Drive.  Brandon Fire and Emergency Services located the vehicle at a residence on Waverly Drive and transported the female driver to BRHC for treatment.  The vehicle had also collided with a parked vehicle on Waverly Drive, causing extensive damage.  The driver, a 19 year old from Brandon, provided samples of her blood at the hospital and charges will be confirmed pending results from the laboratory.

Other Arrests

Two people were arrest on warrants.

Two people was lodged under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and one person was lodged for Breach of Peace.
