Break and Enters.

 Several Break and Enters to garages and sheds were reported in the Green Acres area overnight from May 11th to May 12th. Suspects entered through unlocked doors and in some cases cut the locks. A resident from the 300 blk. Queens Ave E. reported that his garage had been entered and a Marlin Lever Action .22cal rifle had been stolen. Other reports indicated small items, including liquor and soft drinks, stolen. Police continue to investigate these reports.

 A resident of an apartment in the 2300 blk. Ottawa Ave. reported that while he was away for a few hours on Friday someone entered his residence and stole a Lenova Notebook and $5 in change. Police continue to investigate.

 Breach of Undertaking

 At 11:35am on Friday morning Police arrested a 22-year-old Brandon man after he was found in possession of a cut off golf club handle contrary to a condition of his Undertaking that he not be in possession of anything intended for use as a weapon. A check of the CPIC database also revealed that the accused had an outstanding Arrest Warrant. The accused was lodged at Brandon Correctional Center and will appear in court this morning.

 Theft Under $5000

 At 2:10pm on Friday an employee of a store in the 1600 blk. 18th St reported they had apprehended a 43 year old Brandon man attempting to steal a $649 Lawnmower. Police attended and issued the accused a Promise to Appear with a July court date.

Breach of Probation.

 On Friday evening, Police observed a male drinking in a downtown park, when Police approached, the male ran. A short foot pursuit ensued and Police apprehended the subject. A check of the CPIC database revealed that the 17-year-old youth from Brandon had an outstanding Arrest Warrant as well as a Probation order with several conditions that he was breaching. The accused was lodged at Brandon Correctional Center and will appear in court this morning.

 Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm.

 At 2:15am Saturday morning Police observed a female walking in the 900 blk. of College Ave. carrying what appeared to be a shotgun. Police stopped the female and confirmed that she was in fact in possession of a Shotgun. The intoxicated female indicated that the Shotgun was in her house and she didn’t want it there so she was going to leave it in the park. The 58 year old Brandon women was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Center to be released when sober with a July Court date. The Remington 870 Wingmaster Shotgun was seized as evidence.

Other Arrests.

 4 individuals were lodged at Brandon Correctional Center for Breach of the Peace.

1 individual was lodged at Brandon Correctional Center under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act.
