Brandon Police Service Media Release

Breach of Recognizance:

At 10:54 p.m., Police attended to a disturbance in the 500 block of Frederick Street for a female who was reported to be causing a disturbance. The female was found to be highly intoxicated and bound by a Recognizance with a condition to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. The 18-year-old female was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Tuesday.

At 12:30 a.m., Officers attended to a residence in the 600 block of Assiniboine Avenue after the home owner contacted Police reporting he was woken by his motion lights coming on and located a male staggering in his backyard. A highly intoxicated male was located and was found to be the subject of a Recognizance with conditions to observe a curfew and abstain from the consumption of alcohol. The 24-year-old male was arrested for Breach of Recognizance X 2 and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Tuesday.

Other Arrests:

At 1:30 a.m., Police in the downtown area located a 17-year-old highly intoxicated female. The female was detained under the Intoxicated Person Detention Act, to be released when sober.

At 4:07 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call to a residence in the 800 block of 13th Street. The homeowner reported being woken by a noise and found the front door to the residence open and a highly intoxicated female passed out on her couch. The 25-year-old female from Brandon was arrested for Breach of the Peace and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to be released when sober. The female did not cause any damage and appears that in her highly intoxicated state entered into the wrong residence.
